Aluminium Walkway - Royal Free Hospital

We design, fabriated and installed an Aluminium walkway on the new Pears building at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead.  Its use is for emergency escape for personnel working on the roof.  

Due to the delicate roof and the loadings, the walkway had to be aluminium to keep the weight to a minimum, and not collide with the existing ducting on the roof.  We took several 3D scans which we join into our design software and ensure that each leg will fit inbetween the existing equipement on the roof.  We fabricated the walkway in our factory, utilising our expert aluminium welders, transported it to site and a whole structure and crane lifted it onto the roof, and it fitted perfectly!
